I went to HEB the other day, and I saw a ton of people in the quick checkout line (10 items or less), but there was absolutely no one in the self checkout line. I stopped for a little while, waited, and the other lines continued to get worse. Is there a reason few people go to the self checkout line?

I think there is a component of that, but as I have been talking to people, it seems as though it is not very efficient either. The machine doesn’t always let you scan your item, maybe it is a combo of both.
