Las Vegas Strip

Every year, as a kid, we would take “out of town” guests out on the strip in Las Vegas to show them the town.  And somewhere on the strip (right now they usually are at the Bellagio hotel) there was always a couple of people with a microphone shouting about Jesus.  When I walked by them I, personally, was very put off by them, I did not believe in Christ or knew nothing about Christ, but I knew I wanted to be nothing like that.

This last Christmas, I again, with my family, went down and walked the strip and they were there again screaming about Jesus.  It made me upset.  I lingered around to see what others were saying, and they were saying what I was thinking, “What an idiot?”  ”Why doesn’t he stop yelling?”  and “No one is listening to him.”  (These people were waiting for the show at the Bellagio and very put off by the guy)

I watch the video above and it saddens me, I see tons of people walking by and getting a horrible view of what Christianity is all about…A lot of it is all about the way you deliver the truth.  Maybe I’m wrong, maybe I’m the only one put off by this methodology.  I respect their faith, but do question their methods.  What do you think?

The last time I saw their evangelistic approach on the Las Vegas strip, I wanted to march up to them and recite scripture. I couldn’t find the exact scripture at that moment, but it would be something like “Though shall not feed non-believers through a fire hose. Start with a seed.” I commend their determination, but disagree with their methods.
