Sometimes in life we encounter disappointments or have expectations that aren’t met. Proverbs 13 says, “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”
Disappointments in life will occur, but don’t get stuck in the disappointment.
Jesus disciples were disappointed because they thought he was supposed to overthrow the government and disappointed that they lost their leader. Yet, the very thing they were disappointed in was the exact plan that God had in store.
Remember that God has higher plans for us, even when we don’t see them.

Amen! Even in the moments of disappointment we have to do two things.
1) Continue to count our blessings. Take a long look at all that you still have to be thankful for. It’s much harder to be disappointed for long when you make yourself focus on the positive in your life.
2) Remember…Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, plans to PROSPER you and not to harm you. God always has a bigger and better plan, even when we don’t see it or understand it, he does!
