I have noticed there are generally two types of leaders; leaders that form first and leaders that fill first. What does that mean? I am glad you asked. Some leaders like to move (or fill) before they plan, they would rather begin working and then adjust as they move forward. Yet, some like to strategize (form), and then move forward. You may remember playing video games– some of us like to read all the instructions, while some just like to play the game and figure it out as they move along. Which one is better? Well, neither. They are simply different. Some leaders like to plan and then fill with either customers or members.  While some like to find customers or members and then create a structure around them. Which one are you?

Singularity in purpose. It’s that simple. To have multiple people gather around a common cause. To create fans and let them loose.  How is this done?  You have to give them something to talk about, something different, or extraordinary.  The best businesses, organizations, and churches do this.  How can you differentiate yourself or the organization that you are leading?

It has been amazing to watch the people at Imagine come together, start something from nothing, and reach their friends through natural relationships. We are putting a contract on the Regal movie theater at 410, if all goes well, we will be in for Easter! Keep talking and prayin’ it up!

If you want to grow, you have to read.  I often read books in marketing, church growth, or strategy.  Yet, one of the most common reasons people don’t read is because they say they don’t have enough time.  I always respond, “Then pick up a magazine.”  There are many magazines that give you a quick summary of the latest trends and ideas.  The key is to keep reading.  And if you want to be the real deal holyfield, then check out the Bible!
